The Story
Rarely does one find a Semillón from Argentina, yet it is a variety Fabricio truly loves. He firmly believes that the southern part of Mendoza is one of the best places to express it, thanks to its cooler conditions, gastronomic versatility, and great aging potential. 35% of the wine was aged for 6 months in new oak barrels, while the remaining portion stayed in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and purity.
FOW white winemaking philosophy: Fabricio Orlando focuses more on tension and texture than on aromatic intensity. Harvest timing, gentle pressing, and precise oxygen management are key elements of the process. Weekly batonnage and fermenting with indigenous yeast produces the perfect expression and texture that only a San Rafael Semillón can possess.
